Meet The 2019 – 2020 OC

The John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition is not only the largest international undergraduate competition in the world, but it is also entirely student-run. This group of students oversee the entirety of the competition. From cases, to events, to hand picking the teams, these students work tirelessly around the clock for close to 300 days to make it all happen and continue to make JMUCC one of the most prestigious competitions in the world.

Julia is back for her third and final year on the organizing committee and she is beyond excited to be leading her incredible team to new heights for the 2020 Edition. Together, as a team , they are taking on JMUCC’s first expansion in over a decade among some other amazing innovative challenges they can’t wait to share… stay tuned. Foodie at heart, in her free time, Julia loves trying out new restaurants, researching new travel destinations and is always keeping up with the latest fashion trends!

Cedric is extremely excited to be joining the JMUCC organizing committee as VP of Academic Affairs. He will look to use his previous case competition experience to expand and diversify the 12th edition of JMUCC, bringing forward new industries and innovate cases. Entering his fourth year at JMSB, Cedric’s finance major and data intelligence minor are sure to keep his eyes set on the numbers all year long.

Charles is thrilled to be back on the team as this year’s VP Logistics. Previously First Year Rep and Judges Coordinator, he is excited to tackle the challenges that lie ahead. He knew right away that continuing as part of the JMUCC organizing committee was a must; he had an amazing time last year and he is ready to bring his passion and spirit with him in his new role. Charles is currently pursuing his second year studies in accountancy at John Molson and he’s excited to have his best and most challenging academic year yet!

New to the case competition world, Jeremy is beyond excited to join JMUCC’s organizing committee as VP Corporate Relations. Curious by nature and passionate, discovering and challenging himself is his daily booster. He’s confident that he will be up to the task and will be able to achieve his goal to make JMUCC 2020 the best edition yet. “Work hard, play hard”, isn’t it what they say university is about?

Vanessa is thrilled to be joining the JMUCC organizing committee as VP Marketing for the upcoming year. Having participated at the last edition of JMUCC as a volunteer, Vanessa is eager to share her passion and excitement for the competition through her visual and promotional content. With her internal optimism and an eye for design, Vanessa is ready to bring this year’s JMUCC to another level.

Coming from an international background, Anne-Sophie has grown to be curious of all cultures since a very young age. As a Supply Chain student in her second year, she is looking forward to her second edition of JMUCC; first one as a member of the Organizing Committee. She is looking forward to welcoming all delegates and advisors to the beautiful city of Montreal and ensure that their expectations are exceeded. She cannot wait to make JMUCC 2020 memorable.

In his third year studying finance at JMSB, Ivar is excited to return to JMUCC as VP Finance & Development. He is passionate about films, sports and all things gastronomic, so if you need a restaurant recommendation, you know who to ask. Through rigorous budget control and new initiatives to enhance the volunteer experience, Ivar is looking forward to making the 12th edition of JMUCC the best one so far.

As a second-year Business and Technology Management student, William is highly motivated to be part of this year's edition of the JMUCC organizing committee as VP of Technology and Innovation. After volunteering as a tech volunteer the year before, he saw that the position of VP Technology and Innovation thoroughly fit his interests. Using his technological prowess and his experience volunteering at JMUCC during the previous edition, he’s driven to leave a positive footprint on the competition, especially with the introduction of the new innovations he plans to bring to the table for JMUCC 2020.

Elena is incredibly excited to have joined the JMUCC team this year as VP PR and Sponsorship. Volunteering at JMUCC 2019 was an extraordinary experience for her, and she is determined to showcase that JMUCC magic through her PR endeavors. With a finance-driven mind and her creative flair, Elena aims to go above and beyond acquiring product sponsorship this year. Focused on finding sustainable companies, she wants to be able to provide all delegates and volunteers with products and keepsakes that will make the memories they’ve made at JMUCC last forever.
